Colorado Av Club Forums: New Job!!!

   After twenty plus years in kitchens as a chef, I took the plunge and am strting in a body shop tomorrow that is going to allow me to work with what I know for now and train me into a body man and help me with certification! 
This change has been coming for a while now as I have been a bit burned out on the crappy hours and drama of the food service industry.
On to greener pastures!!!

	Loving life in the shop! It's odd to be the low man on the totem pole after twenty years of being king of the hill in kitchens but it is a relief and a really good time! Oh, and Showtime.....this shop does some of the best work I have ever seen! It's in the directory, Profile Auto Body. Ask for Jeff and tell him I referred you.

	Well, just under a year in this new industry and yet another opportunity has come my way. My boss at the body shop had me doing the mechanical work since it turned out that I was better in that field than the body end of it and hooked me up with another shop that put me on as a line tech and is paying for as well as tutoring me in all of my ASE certifications! Whoo-Hoo!!! I'm finally on flat rate and getting the formal education while working along side with a 25 year master mechanic! I am a happy camper!
