I was going to order a leveling kit for the Av, but don't really want to pay 90.00 for a tool I use once.  Do any of you know where I can rent a Torsion Bar unloading tool?  I know Chris and Chad have their rigs leveled, but I didn't ask if they did it themselves or went to a shop, though I am fairly certain Chris had hers done at a shop.

Anybody have a tool or know where to get one?

I found a thread on the CAFCNA web site that showed step by step with pictures the changing of the torsion keys using a heavy duty gear puller.  These can be rented, so a buddy and I are going to install new torsion keys.  We ordered our sets from Fatbobsgarage.  They are made exactly the same as the readylift keys, just 100.00+ cheaper because of the box name.

we will be installing ours on Saturday March 14th if all goes as planned.  his are going on a GMC 3500.

My Av goes in for some shades (tinting) tomorrow AMStar

It will look a lot different the next time you all see it.

Mine are suspensionmax lift keys, very adjustable to fit what you want in lift/ride options. You may want to look into them. A heavy duty gear puller will work, however it is sorta difficult to get a good hold with the gear puller. Try to rent the torsion tool, life will be nicer for you.

Thanks for the offer Ken!  That would be great!Clap
we were planning on doing this on Saturday of this week in southwest Denver.  I could cruise down towards the Springs Friday evening to get the tool if that is okay and return it to you ASAP afterward.  Thinking possibly Saturday afternoon even.

If you can give me a call at 3-915-5497, that would be great.

was just wondering if you still own or have access to the torsion bar unloading tool. I will be home from Iraq in a couple weeks and have the keys waiting on me at home. i would be willing to rent it or give something as collateral, i just dont want to have to buy it to use it once if i dont have to.
