edit:  OMG...I think I just wasted some money.  As I was looking around on the webwizforums web site for upgrade documentation, I stumbled across a page that states the hosting company I currently use doesn't support the Premium Edition of the forums.  And that is the license I bought.  Grrr.  I have a sinking feeling in my stomach now.  I hope I can still upgrade and remove the links.

 

Guess I will be sending an email off to their tech support line...

 

 

I went ahead and purchased a license to remove the ads from the forum!

 

The problem is that the only license available is for Version 9.  So I cannot remove the ads until I upgrade to Version 9.  I've been wanting to patch the current version, and do the ad removal, for a while.

 

So I will be looking into what it will take to upgrade the forums.  In the mean time, the ads will still be there until I can complete the upgrade.  I currently do not know when I am going to do the upgrade.

 

Keep an eye out for a post and a news item on the front page regarding when the forums will be taken down for the upgrade.
